The Education Research Funding Programme Office (ERFPO) organised an online 32RFP Education Research Funding Programme (ERFP) Grant Writing Workshop, attended by colleagues from MOE and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), Singapore. This workshop followed the 32RFP ERFP Grant Call Briefing that took place on 7 August 2024.
In this workshop, Dr Elizabeth Koh, Deputy Director (Academic), Research Management, ERFPO, shared insights on how to write a successful ERFP proposal. Dr Koh’s sharing is targeted at potential Principal Investigators (PI) interested in applying for Tier 3 and programmatic grants in the Education Research Funding Programme (ERFP). Dr Koh shared details of the scope, grant types and review process of the ERFP. Additionally, key areas and strategies in proposing larger-quantum ERFP grant proposals were shared. Following that, Associate Professor Lee Ngan Hoe, Associate Dean, Professional Practice, Office of Teacher and Undergraduate Programmes, who was a successful PI in a Tier 3 programmatic grant shared his past experiences along with tips and pointers to note when planning for a programmatic grant.
