29RFP Engagement Session

ERFPO and MOE’s Corporate Research Office organised a face-to-face 5th Tranche Engagement Session on 1 March 2023, Tuesday, 3pm – 5pm which took place in MOE HQ Bunoa Vista.

This engagement session aimed to foster collaborations between researchers and MOE practitioners for discussion and co-construction of research proposals.  At the session, MOE practitioners shared more details about MOE’s research priorities, and researchers can share preliminary ideas or proposals relevant to MOE’s research needs.

The GERA areas highlighted at the first ERFP engagement session are as follows:

  • Area 1: Developing impactful curricular and pedagogical interventions (a) in the disciplinary areas, and particularly in the development of 21CC that MOE is emphasising (e.g., inventive thinking, adaptability, resilience); (b) to support student groups that are under-researched (e.g., broad middle band of students and low SES-high ability students); and
  • Area 2: Develop assessment literacy, cross-disciplinary learning, and sustaining effective professional development (PD) practice for teachers, with particular emphasis on competencies identified under future of teaching.

During the session, researchers received more information, including details on specific research problems that MOE is interested in.

For more information on the MOE’s research problems that fall within the two GERA areas, pls contact grants@erfp.edu.sg

Overall, researchers found this session to be a great opportunity to network and collaborate with other IHL and MOE colleagues.
